Shipping policy

 

Thank you for supporting our small family farm here in Xenia, Ohio. We put a great deal of care into everything we raise and everything we make, and we want to make sure every order arrives at your door in perfect condition. Please take a moment to read through our shipping policy so you know exactly what to expect when you place an order with us.


Processing Time

All of our products are made, packed, and shipped in small batches right here on the farm. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for your order to be processed and prepared for shipment. During peak seasons, holidays, or high volume periods, processing times may be slightly longer. We will always do our best to communicate any delays as quickly as possible.


Shipping Methods & Delivery Times

We currently ship within the continental United States only. Orders are shipped via USPS or UPS depending on the size and nature of your order. Once your order has shipped you will receive a confirmation email with your tracking information so you can follow your package every step of the way.

Estimated delivery times after shipment:

  • Standard Shipping: 3 to 7 business days
  • Priority Shipping: 2 to 3 business days

Please note that these are estimated delivery windows provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, weather events, or other circumstances outside of our control.


Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order and your delivery location. We do our best to keep shipping costs as reasonable as possible and we never mark up our shipping rates — what you see at checkout is exactly what we pay to get your order to you.

Free standard shipping is available on all orders over $50.00 within the continental United States.


Live Animals & Perishable Items

Due to the nature of our farm products, certain items in our shop require special shipping considerations.

Live animals, including pedigreed show rabbits, are not shipped and are available for local pickup only. Please contact us directly to arrange pickup.

Animal meat, including quail and rabbit meat, are not shipped and are available for local pickup only at the moment. Please contact us directly to arrange a pickup.

Perishable items such as fertilized hatching eggs, are shipped with care using insulated packaging and ice packs where appropriate to maintain freshness and viability during transit. We ship perishable items at the beginning of the week — typically Monday through Wednesday — to minimize the risk of packages sitting in carrier facilities over a weekend. We strongly recommend selecting Priority Shipping for all perishable orders to ensure the fastest possible delivery.

Fertilized hatching eggs are a perishable and delicate product. While we take every precaution to package them carefully and ship them as quickly as possible, we cannot guarantee hatch rates once eggs leave our farm as there are many variables in shipping and incubation that are outside of our control. We are always happy to answer your questions and help you get the best possible results from your hatch.


Packaging

We take great pride in how we package our orders. Every soap bar, accessory, and farm product is packed with care to ensure it arrives safely and looking its best. We use eco friendly and recyclable packaging materials wherever possible because we believe in taking care of the land just as much as we believe in taking care of our customers.


Damaged or Lost Packages

We do our absolute best to make sure every order leaves our farm in perfect condition. However once a package leaves our hands it is in the care of the carrier. If your order arrives damaged please take photos of the packaging and the product immediately upon receipt and contact us within 48 hours at the email address listed below. We will work with you to make it right as quickly as possible.

If your tracking information shows your package as delivered but you have not received it, please first check with neighbors and any other household members, and then contact your local post office or UPS location. If the package cannot be located please reach out to us and we will do our best to help resolve the situation.

We are not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address provided at checkout, so please double check your shipping information carefully before placing your order.


Local Pickup

 

We are happy to offer local pickup for customers in the Xenia, Ohio area. Simply select local pickup at checkout and we will contact you to arrange a convenient pickup time at the farm. Local pickup is required for all live animal purchases.
